When we engage with a client, we establish a robust investment framework that sets the basis to drive investment performance. The way we engage with a client is based on the client’s needs.  In our experience, the following process has proved to be effective and provides focus and clear direction for our clients.

Define how we engage There are a number of ways in which we engage with our clients.  In consultation with the Trustees, we jointly identify the most appropriate form of engagement, given the client’s specific requirements.
Frame objectives and risk criteria We ask questions such as: What does success look like?  What would you consider to be failure?  By defining quantifiable investment objectives, we know what the client wants to achieve and, importantly, how we can measure it.
Develop a strategy and prioritise After developing an understanding of the client’s return/risk requirements, we would identify how the existing strategy can be enhanced. We then discuss and prioritise these differences with the client.
Implementation Having agreed the key changes with the Trustees, we then review how these should be implemented, in terms of mandate, organisations, contractual issues and transition matters.
